Policies

Attendance - See Attendance and Participation page.
Due Dates - With one exception (Section 1 only), all graded assignments will be submitted electronically on Beachboard, due by 11:59 PM of the given date. The exception is the Employment Cover Letter which will be a printed submission due at the start of class. Late work will not be accepted unless you have requested and received my approval for extension at least 24 hours prior to the due date.
Distractions - Do not permit your cell phone or other electronic device to disturb the class or distract from your own learning. However, you are welcome to use your laptop or mobile device for the specific purposes of our classroom activities.
Academic Honesty - The library website provides a full definition of plagiarism and suggestions for avoiding it. The campus website explains the university policy on plagiarism. Acquaint yourself with the contents of these sites.
Special Considerations - If you have a disability that requires special accommodations, please see me within the first week of class to make appropriate arrangements. For more information, contact student services.
Withdraw Policy - You are responsible for completion of this course or for withdrawing during the first two weeks of class. If you have questions, contact Enrollment Services.
Educational Use of Student Papers - You will be sharing your writing on our Beachboard web site for educational purposes during this course. Additionally, I may retain copies of your work for research purposes, in which case all selections will remain anonymous.
